“I joined the BEST NC Board because I believe in public education in North Carolina. Having served on the UNC Board of Governors for three terms, I have had the opportunity to see how varied in quality are the K-12 systems throughout the state. I want to work throughout the state to make K-12 students better prepared for higher education.”
