Chris Tutino is the Director of Development & Communications at BEST NC where he leads the organization’s communications and development infrastructure, supporting the business-to-education bridge that is central to BEST NC’s mission.
Chris’ strengths include translating complicated and complex topics into language and visuals that are customized for various stakeholder audiences. From boutique public relations firms to in-house corporate communication leadership roles, Chris has been adept at leading global cross-functional teams to help meet and exceed organizational goals. His work has been recognized with the INFORMS Franz Edelman Award (2015) and the ANA Genius Award (2016).
Chris grew up in Greenville, North Carolina where he met his wife. Together, they have two daughters and a son, all of whom have attended public schools. Deeply involved in his children’s education and school activities, he is honored to work alongside the BEST NC team to help institute the policies that can help transform teacher and principal pay, teacher recruitment, and professional development.
Chris is a graduate of East Carolina University with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Business Administration. He lives in Raleigh, N.C.
