myFutureNC is an nonprofit that promotes work of all sectors and helps find and fill gaps to drive educational access and attainment outcomes that align with and fulfill employer needs; promoting a shared vision for an education-to-workforce continuum across North Carolina, with a goal of achieving a goal of a workforce with 2 million high value credentials by 2030.
NC DPI’s Personal Financial Literacy Standards
The standards and objectives in the Economics and Personal Finance course will provide students the opportunity to engage in intensive application of the skills, concepts, processes, and knowledge gained in previous social studies courses and prepare them to be college, career, and civic ready. These standards and objectives are not intended to be the curriculum, nor do they indicate the whole of a curriculum which will be written by a local public-school unit (LEA) or school.
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NC DPI)
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) is charged with implementing the state’s public school laws for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade public schools at the direction of the State Board of Education and the Superintendent of Public Instruction.
North Carolina Council on Economic Education (NCCEE)
A public-private non-profit organization that provides professional training and assistance to approximately 1,000 NC teachers a year focusing on economics and personal finance.
